Wood Furniture
I have always been a fan of wood furniture. This particular Eastern Red Cedar Book Case caught my attention.
I like the raw feel and natural touch that goes with this piece of furniture. It not only compliments well with those thick, heavy books, the very ‘raw’ feel to this book case gives readers an assurance towards their bookworm habits. Notice how the sledge at the sides give support to books. This is indeed a well designed piece with function, looks and practicality in mind. The colour? Absolutely classic. What can beat a piece of red cedar wood to be shaped into a book case? Quality is definitely undebatable.

Obama: Bowing (or not) to Saudi royalty
Ben Smith at Politico quotes a White House aide as saying, no, President Barack Obama was not bowing to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia when they and other world leaders assembled at the G-20 summit in London last week.
“It wasn’t a bow,” an Obama aide told Smith. “He grasped his hand with two hands, and he’s taller than King Abdullah.”
That’s not the way others saw it: The Washington Times called the alleged presidential bow to the king a “shocking display of fealty to a foreign potentate.”
A columnist in the Saudi-backed Arabic paper Asharq Alawsat, took the apparent bow as a welcome gesture: “He wished to demonstrate his respect and appreciation of the personality of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz, who has made one of the most important calls in the modern era, namely the call for inter-faith and inter-cultural dialogue to defuse the hatred, conflict and wars,” wrote Muhammah Diyab.
At the Senate Republican Senatorial Committee, the group that hopes to elect more Republicans to the Senate next year, they take the apparent bow fairly seriously:
“In a stunning twist of irony, Saudi Arabia stands to grow even richer under this administration, as our oil dollars continue to flow to the Middle East because of President Obama’s staunch opposition to increasing domestic oil production here at home,” writes Rob Jesmer, executive director. “Yet, while this video and what many are calling Obama’s “European apology tour” received world-wide attention, his actions were given a pass by the mainstream media here at home.
“Despite clear video evidence to the contrary, the White House continues to insist that this was a not a “bow” and the national media appears to have once again bought the Obama White House spin,” he writes. “I’d ask that you judge for yourself.”

Common accidents
I used to read travel news for a living, you know, telling people there’s a delay on a big road. And when I started we used to be told about RTAs, but by the time I finished we were told about RTCs. The thing is, they were the same. They used to be called Road Traffic Accidents, but the police changed it to Road Traffic Collisions because calling them accidents apparently removed the issue of blame. They didn’t want to give police endorsement to the fact that it was just “an accident”.
But when you think about it there are lots of accidents that are people’s fault. For example, workplace accidents. If you fall over something at work, that’s someone’s fault. It’s either so someone leaving something in a place where you could fall over it, or it’s your fault for walking somewhere you shouldn’t be, like on a shelf or something. If you slip over, either the floor had something on it, or your footwear wasn’t right, or you’re rubbish at working.
If you have a spillage, that’s not an accident. If you weren’t given the correct container for whatever it is, you wouldn’t not have the spill if you used it properly.Even if you think a simple slip of the tongue is an accident, no it’s not. If you ‘accidentally’ said “fat” instead of “that”, it means you probably think the person you’re talking to is a chubby.
But when you think about the significance of that it because quite scary. There are no accidents, there is also some level of blame that can be levels. With blames comes fault and with fault comes liability. It makes you realise that if you have had an accident making Accident Compensation Claim is something you are certainly entitled to. If that describes the situation you have found yourself in have a look at www.claimsforyou.com
Gmail’s Mobile Web App: Floaty Bars, Spinners and Gears
The Google gurus have released a major revision to their mobile web app for Android phones and iPhone/iPod touches running OS 2.2.1. This newest incarnation sports an improved interface, more consistent performance, faster message access and it supports robust batch actions like archiving multiple messages.
Using Google’s Gears, email is cached on the device and then actions (like starring, deleting or archiving) are applied to the cached version of the message immediately but sent to Gmail’s servers in the background whenever there is a network connection available. So, if you’re dealing with a slow connection speed you can still access recently read messages or compose mail.
One of the most obvious improvements is the “floaty bar” (Google-speak) which is essentially an animated smart dropdown menu that keeps up with you as you scroll allowing you to mark, read and star email no matter how long the list.

Alternative Holiday Destinations in the UK
I believe by now you would have some ideas who Hammer the Spammer really is. I have given enough clues in the past. It is just the matter of piecing them up into a big picture and you find yourself reading a familiar blog post.
Another huge clue I am giving is that Hammer the Spammer is going to the UK soon for her studies. So, it is up to you to figure out who the Hammer really is.
Meanwhile, speaking of the UK itself, I must bring you to an enlightening topic. Most of the time, when people here about the UK, they would envision those famous places, historical buildings and rich traditions. Travel in the United Kingdom is definitely fun and worthwhile. You would find yourself spoilt for choices there. In London itself, you already have those museums to visit. How about palaces? Or those bridges?
Well, if you want to go out of London, there are even more places you can visit and things to do. Yes, like what I have mentioned – you would be spoilt for choice. However, today I would like to point out something in this very ‘hammering’ post.
Let me present you a different idea of travel and adventure on the British soil which would give you an adventure of a lifetime and your money worthwhile. Instead of the typical places to visit, why not give some thoughts to the alternative destinations? Those are some of the destinations not many people would consider as tourist destinations, yet they are definitely perfect spots for travel destination. Just give you some examples.. Northumbria, Torquay, Folkstone, Wales.
Take an example.. getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city, I may want to look into vacation in cottages. Fresh air, scenic views… those are things you can find if you plan your vacation at the Northumbria Cottages. I believe you can get good deals and at the same time, spend quality time with your loved ones. It would be a creative way to spend your holidays. A picnic, fishing or just walking on the lush greeneries.

North Korea ‘Nukes’ Obama Blather
There’s one thing to be said about North Korea; it knows how to make the United Nations, President Obama, and all talk of ending nuclear weapons a very bad joke.Presidents since the days of Harry Truman have been talking about a world free of nuclear weapons and that is just not going to happen. They are possibly the best deterrent on Earth when it comes to the potential of being invaded. Like the Colt revolver in the days of the Wild West, nukes are the great equalizer among nations.
Every time India and Pakistan get really angry at each other, someone in the room reminds their respective leaders that the other has nukes. After that, it’s a nice chat between diplomats over a cup of tea and some lovely cookies.
Japan, a nation that knows something about being nuked by two atomic bombs, has been reluctant to add nukes to their arsenal. The increasing belligerence of North Korea, however, is likely to change that. The umbrella of protection that the United States has provided since the end of World War II has been giving way to the realization that Japan needs its own defense capabilities.
Meanwhile, at the United Nations we witness once again how utterly useless it is. When you have China sitting as a permanent member of the Security Council, you’re not likely to get any action regarding North Korea. It provides China with the leverage to make the West and other nations worry a great deal about sales to nasty people in Iran and elsewhere.
It would not have surprised me at all to learn that, after letting the North Koreans begin building a nuclear facility in Syria, the Chinese slipped the map coordinates to the Israelis. Why no President has ever simply sent in the Air Force to bomb the known North Korean locations of missile launch sites and facilities is answered with one word: China.
What makes this even worse is the long record of “humanitarian” aid that North Korea has received from the United States over the years.
